Young Germany is a great site for learners and teachers of German and anyone interested in Germany generally. There are podcasts, blogs, articles, activities…heaps of great stuff. If you are a Year 11 or 12 student looking for some good listening practice, I especially recommend some of the podcasts! Let me know which bits you find useful, fun, cool…

Have just been looking at this section of the “Young Germany” site and it looks kinda cool! It is an adventure, in which the virtual heroine Anna fights against the enemies of reunified Germany! It is a great way to learn some basic and interesting German. There are 26 episodes, including audio files, transcripts, interactive activities and yes, even grammar explanations! See what you think and leave me a comment to let me know.

Mission Berlin

I have just posted the first entry on my German Grammar page. The plan is to post cool things I find, which might help you master the art of German grammar! This one is about the charming and sophisticated variable prepositions! Check it out and remember – Übung macht den Meister!

If you are a German student who needs to practise their vocab, or a teacher who wants to help their language learners set up some practice, check out the quizlet site. It is free to sign up and you can join groups to practise if you like, or set up your own group!

For my students, this is the link to our new group Deutsch ist cool. You will need to sign up and use our password to join the group.
I think this should be a fun way to learn vocab! Let me know what you think.

If you would like to join in in Tierland. I have posted a page about my dogs, Molly and Angus, to give you a format. Make your own blog in German and let me know the url so that I can make a link to it. Molly and Angus would love a visit too! They speak German too of course, so write your comments in German!

Bis bald!
